SANTANA

サンタナ（Santana）
米国のラテン・ロック・バンド。ギタリストのカルロス・サンタナ（Carlos Santana）を中心にしたグループで。



ラテンロックといえばサンタナ、ポップ性もあり、ロック性あり、哀愁あり、インストあり、スパニッシュありと、日本人好みともいえる素敵なサウンドがいっぱい♪BGMとしてよく聴いている。

この手のサウンドの中で好きなミュージシャンといえば、高中正義、そしてこのサンタナである。
「哀愁のヨーロッパ」も好きだが、結構「Well, All Right」「Hold on」 など80年前後の頃の曲がお気に入りだ。

1969年にデビュー、同年のウッドストックで演奏した「ソウル・サクリファイス」での強烈なラテン・パーカッションとサンタナならではのギター・サウンドは観客を一気に熱狂の渦に巻き込み注目される。その後、数多くのヒット曲を残し、『天の守護神』といった作品を始め1970年代に音楽的・商業的に大きな成功を収める。「哀愁のヨーロッパ」や「Black Magic Woman 」は日本でも有名。練習したギタリストも多いのでは？
ちなみに、1971年～1972年にサンタナに在籍していたニール・ショーンはバンド脱退後にジャーニーを結成し成功する。

スーパーナチュラル…べたべただけど好きなアルバムなんですよ。
シャーマンも続編って感じだけど名盤ですね。
ゲスト招いていろいろやってるけど、クラプトンがイマイチフィットしてないのはご愛嬌ということで。
